As some of you may or may not know, I run a booking agency called Agency Sounds… We represent some of the dopest names in EDM. I get a lot of request to represent a lot of people. Some good and some bad. Some I won’t even look in their directions.. those are the clowns.
Clown DJs are the ones who do it all for show. Who cares if they are beat syncing or pre-programmed the entire set? As long as they are ‘performing’ who cares right? Well let me learn you on something.. YOU ARE NOT A DJ at that point, you are some kind of cut rate live performance.
Back in my day, the DJ was never seen only heard. The super clubs had the DJ booth way up in the air, away from the requests.. away from the people. Let the DJ do their job. Now we have festivals and the main concern is to be seen. Some girls with big nice tits think this is a way to get more bookings. I, as a booking agent, don’t even read those emails, I never get a chance to see if that DJ had any real skills. Most of the pictures are of tits or her posing next to equipment with big tits!
This isn’t a porn job or a modeling studio.. we’re a booking agency for REAL DJS that do REAL DJING. The focus is on the music and not the tits. I don’t do the gender thing I don’t care about your tits.. at least not when it comes to DJing.
If your looking to be represented by an actual booking agency take down this tip.
Put some clothes on, I want to know if you got skills. Send me a mix, or some video of you mixing. The whole porn thing only appeals to mostly the male audience. At least the clowns in masks are better for marketing since they reach a wider demographic then just your tits.
All in all your just a clown, doing some sort of performance because you lack the skills in the true art of DJing. So since your music can’t set you apart from the other DJs the tits have to do it?
I would love to mention some of the LADIES who are doing it up… Again it’s not about the gender but since we’re talking about Ladies with skills I felt like I had to give a shout out to the real who keep it real!

dj SNO WHITE<3
^Sno White is exactly the kind of “tits dj” that this article is talking about. There are plenty if more talented females out there who don’t whore themselves out.
Thumbs up for this article! I’ve always thought that way and I am happy to see others do to.

La Fleur.
Stunning DJs. BM’s all about the deeper more minimal stuff. La Fleur keeps it tech-y as shit. Sweden the way it was meant to be heard.
And tits are different than…
Just because they dont or didnt get their tits out doesnt mean certain female dj’s didnt sleep or over flirt with whom they had to get the step up trust me i know tghis personally and throughout trusted sources…!
I saw Nicole Moudaber in Essen, Germany (my home town) a few weeks back at Studio Club. This woman got the skills, no doubt. She killed the place (whilst the rest of the line-up bored me to death).

Rebecca & Fiona, EDM goddesses from Sweden!
yes, Darren, every single female Djs have climbed the ladder by sleeping their way to the top. You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. That is my goal; I have already planned the promoters I am going to sleep with to become a superstar female DJ
Maybe the reason you’re getting so many tit shots is because the real female DJs are not motivated to submit themselves.
My djing / production has always deliberately been just a hobby. But if I decided I wanted to hire an agency, I’d be looking for:
1. Other women on the roster.
As a female DJ / producer, you’re already signing up to spend most of your days at a sausage party. Record stores will ask if you’re shopping for your boyfriend. Bouncers will usher your confused male friend while he’s carrying your records and then glare at you and ask who put you on the guest list. Nonstop macking, even if you’re just average looking. etc. etc.
I would not be interested in joining an agency until I’d had a chance to see how they marketed other women. I don’t want to be the “princess of techno” or the “queen of drum & bass” and have my bio filled with references to my appearance. Lots of agencies do that to women.
2. Well-written bios.
I’m not gonna nitpick somebody’s spelling and grammar on IM or Facebook or their blog. When it comes to a professional career, though, I expect professional writing. I’m not going to hire someone to represent me if their bios for their own artists haven’t even been run through spellcheck. As far as content goes, if the bios all read like a haiku of DJ ____ will _____ your mind with his / her _____ selection of _____ ______ beats, I’m out. I don’t care if a DJ has played parties with [long list of respected DJs / producers]. So have I. So has anyone who’s been DJing / throwing parties for any length of time. I’m more interested in what kind of music they play – record labels, producers, etc… links to their mixes, links to music they’ve produced… you know, a professional portfolio.
Talented DJs are often approached by agencies / labels directly anyway vs. going around trying to find one. If I see that any group has 0 women in it, I’m not gonna assume that it’s because there are no talented women. I’m gonna assume it’s because they haven’t made any serious effort to seek out women. If they don’t think that’s important, I’m not gonna assume that they would treat finding gigs for me with a lot of importance either.
